We run a range of open competitions at Thurlestone so there is an opportunity for every category of golfer to compete and enjoy the course. There are three opens for men, including one for seniors, a mixed open and three opens for ladies. Details are shown below.
Open Golf Events
Saturday 2nd June 2012
This is a Stableford Competition with a handicap limit of 24 and an allowance of three-quarters.
Saturday 9th June 2012
The mixed open is a Greensome Stableford event. Handicap limits are: Ladies 30, Gentlemen 24, combined 30 with an allowance of half the combined.
JUNIOR OPEN & County Order-of-Merit Event
Sunday 10th June 2012
This is the first Junior Open run at Thurlestone for several years so this is bound to be a popular event
Wednesday 25th July 2012
Run as a Stableford Competition with a handicap limit of 35. Individual Allowance of 3/4
Saturday 1st September 2012
This is an 18-hole stableford competition for teams of two with boths scores to count at each hole.
Friday 7th September 2012
This is an 18-hole stableford individual event for gentlemen who at least 60 years of age on the day of competition.
Wednesday 12th September 2012
This is a stableford competition for ladies playing in teams of three with two scores to count at each hole.
