Editors Report
A very wet and windy summer which rendered our 10 grass courts unplayable for most of the time, but with the Queen’s Jubilee, the Torch, the Olympics and the GB Cycle Race we felt that we had a very busy summer locally. Despite the inclement weather all the cup matches were completed with the winners listed below, but we did have to cancel some Junior Tournaments and Mini Coaching as well as our usual successful Charity Event.

Nicky Came captained the team in the Ladies league. Despite the bad weather, we managed to play all 14 matches and finished up a creditable 5th position.
Unfortunately this year the local clubs could not raise teams for us to have a Junior League
End of Season Tournament & Presentation Evening
A lovely evening in mid September ended the short grass court season with 16 entries for the tournament. There were many prizes but Nicky Came and Cathy Shea came out overall winners. This was followed by an excellent sandwich and chip supper in the tennis pavilion. The photo shows the competitors who took part in this last event of the season.

A few reminders
- Please wear recognised, predominately white tennis clothes and correct foot wear.
- All courts must be booked in the Pro Shop. Tel: 01548 560715
- All golf members are automatically members of the Tennis Section and are welcome to join us at club sessions whatever your age or standard!
- Members and temporary members should display a shoe tag or golf bag tag, particularly when checking in for tournaments.
- Tennis members and temporary members have full use of the Golf Club changing rooms, catering and bar.
- Members may introduce guests at £3.00 a session including club afternoons and evenings, there are no free passes. Pay and Play for non members remains at £6.00
- The tennis courts are being renumbered! The grass courts by the club house will be courts 1 and 2 so the hard courts will be 11 and 12, we will soon get used to it!
