The Thurlestone Junior Academy offers fun, structured golf coaching for children aged 5 – 18.

Sessions run in groups every Saturday during school term time, helping juniors learn the game in a relaxed, safe and supportive environment.

Each programme runs in 6-week blocks. The first five weeks focus on coaching, with juniors developing key skills through fun, engaging sessions. On the sixth week, players take part in a Golf Access competition, giving them the chance to put their new skills into practice on the courses over 3, 6 or 9 holes.

All sessions are delivered by one of our PGA Professionals, ensuring high-quality coaching while keeping the focus on learning, confidence and enjoyment.

The aim of the Academy is simple: to help young golfers learn the game, improve their skills, make new friends and most importantly have fun while playing golf. Many of our Juniors progress through the programme to play on the course, compete in Junior events and become active members of the Club.

We also offer adult ‘Get Into Golf’ sessions which run on a similar basis.
