The Dartmoor League team travelled to Wrangaton for the second round of the KO competition. Home advantage is always critical and half the Thurlestone team had never played the Wrangaton course, with its mixture of moorland and parkland 9s, before.
Mark Drew had been a member at Wrangaton for 10 years so knew the course well, and was well supported by his partner, Matt Reed; they were the only pair to squeeze a half point. David Kendall and Gary Raymond fought valiantly but lost on the 17th green, to have second best performance. Final result 4.5-0.5.
