Thurlestone Golf Club Tennis Section is committed to prioritising the well-being of all children and adults, promoting safeguarding in our club at all times, including all programmes and events that we run. In addition we are proud to have a Diversity and Inclusion Policy that demonstrates our commitment to making tennis diverse and inclusive for all. The Section is committed to ensuring our practices reflect statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice and LTA requirements.

Last Saturday we hosted our first open of the year with a field of 92 players from all over the southwest.

Ladies Turkey Trot
Tuesday 12th December 2023
Ladies Turkey Trot – Forty-four ladies played a 14-hole Turkey Trot competition, so called as the competition prizes are vouchers to spend at a local butcher. The winners were Trish Gledhill and Kaz Phillips with 36 points.

NewsRon Bancroft Cup - Seniors Greensomes
Tuesday 12th December 2023
On Tuesday December 5th the seniors held the Ron Bancroft Cup .Conditions at the start could be described as difficult with a brisk wind and rain showers. Later in the day conditions improved with the odd appearance of the sun making conditions much more acceptable.

Junior Presentation Evening
Monday 20th November 2023
Saturday was Thurlestone’s Junior Presentation evening where twenty-one trophies were given to the juniors for all the competitions played in 2023. Steve White our professional led the proceedings and the men’s Vice captain Jim Stewart presented the trophies.
